The OPEA Content Inventory

Context:

Open Platform for Enterprise AI (OPEA) is a framework that aims to help developers create and evaluate generative AI (GenAI) solutions. Teams across several geographies contribute to this framework. Since the existing content had been largely created without a technical writer, the topics did not read in a unified voice. My task was to help clean it up.

The Work:

My first observation about this sea of content was that there was no clear workflow defined at the start. The existing content was in many stages – some polished, some unreviewed, and some incomplete. None of the content had information about ownership.

Before I could roll up my sleeves to clean the content, I needed to:

  1. Understand the workflow.
  2. Compile an inventory of the existing content.
  3. Complete a content audit to decide what content to keep, remove, and update.
  4. Assign owners for technical reviews.
  5. Schedule the work to happen in stages/releases.

Due to organizational changes, I did not have sufficient time to finish this work. But I would like to share snapshots of the inventory and audit I developed.
